The Israeli Opera

The Israeli Opera’s home is the Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center, part of the Golda cultural complex, located at 19 Shaul HaMelech Boulevard.

The Israeli Opera Company performs a wide range of opera over the season and also hold many other cultural activities designed to foster an increased interest in opera and music and also to encourage and nurture Israeli artists.

Opera

The company’s repertoire is constantly changing and includes:

• Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro”
• Rossini’s La Cenerentola
• Verdi’s Macbeth
• And many, many more.

Dance

The company also performs at the Israel Opera Festival at Jerusalem (June) and at Akko (July).

The opera also hosts a number of dance and ballet companies from Israel and abroad for a series of performances throughout the year. Companies performing include the St. Petersburg Ballet, the Lula Washington Dance Company and Complexions, America’s original multicultural dance company.

Jazz, Liturgical music, classical music, Saturday Morning opera highlights, musicals – all this and much more.

• Walk east along HaYarkon Street for about 10 minutes to the Carmel Market/Allenby junction.
• Take route 14 to the Dekel Country Club.

• Turn right onto Leonardo da Vinci St.

By Bus:

• Walk northeast on Ha’ARI Str. toward Geulah St.
• Turn right onto Geulah St.
• Turn right onto Allenby St. minutes to the Carmel Market/Allenby junction.

• Walk south on Ha-Yarkon St.
• Turn left onto Yona HaNavi St.
• Slight right onto Allenby St. and continue to the Allenby/Balfour junction.
• Take route 82 towards Beit Rivka
• Get off at the 6th stop – The Opera/ Shaul HaMelech Boulevard.
• Walk west on Shaul HaMelech Boulevard toward Leonardo da Vinci St.
• Turn right onto Leonardo da Vinci St.
• Turn right onto Shaul HaMelech Boulevard.

By Bus:

• Walk southwest on Ha-Yarkon Str. toward Arlozorov St.
• Turn left onto Arlozorov St.
• Turn right onto Ben Yehuda St.
• At the Ben Yehuda/Arlozoroff junction, take route 174 towards Rishonim Railway Station.
• Get off at the 6th stop – Ibn Gvirol/ Shaul HaMelech Boulevard.
